OMG! Your new baby is totes a beaut.
WTF! Their relationship status is 'it's complicated'?!
LOL! That cat video is #hilarious.
It's fair to say that social media has woven its way into our everyday lives in quite a short space of time.
It's also fair to say that if I asked you how much time you spend on social media each day, you'd probably say "Too much".
And if I asked you how much time you spend on language learning each day, you'd probably say "Too little".
So, I have a #question:
If we're using social media, why not use it for language learning?
Why hello there! I'm Lindsay and I do Languages. I blog, vlog, teach, learn, eat, sleep, and breathe language. I'm also the founder of Lindsay Does Languages, a blog dedicated to all things language.
When I'm not blogging, I'm teaching students via Skype and online courses. I've been teaching languages since 2008 and have a variety of experience teaching both adults and children in private, educational, and corporate environments. Now I want to bring that experience to a wider audience - that's you!
And when I'm not doing that I'm playing with my tortoise Gonzo who speaks a grand total of zero languages.
Enter Social Media Success.
*waves crazily and smiles happily*
This 4 week course has been created for you if:
👍 you use social media and you learn languages but right now, they're separate parts of your life
👍 you want to spend less time on social media more effectively
👍 you are ready to maximise the most current free language learning tool
👍 you're up for a challenge to improve the language you're currently learning
But, hey, it's not for everyone. Social Media Success probably isn't for you if:
👎 you think social media sucks (have you seen Snapchat Lens?!)
👎 you stick with other potentially out-dated resources (I love books too, but you're missing out by not throwing social media into the mix)
👎 you don't want to get better at the language you're learning (I promise, there's always room for improvement)
👎 you're an axolotl (but if that's you, come live with me!)
When you join, you get the majority of the content straight away. Woop!
However, the key weekly challenges are delivered to you every week for 4 weeks to keep you on your toes.
You'll get a little email from me to let you know when new content is added to the course for you with more information about what to expect for the week ahead.
Oh, wait. I almost forgot to tell you.
There's also a Slack Community attached to this course.
That means you can connect with other students on the course (+ me!) and share your progress + success with a supportive group of fellow language obsessed folk who get you.
